I don't really know how to explain this.. So here is a video!

I get a lot of these since I have my phone synced up with my server at work.
What's your favorite time of day and why?
I would have to say that 4:00 PM is my favorite time of day. My main reasons are that I 1) Get to see my lovely wife, 2) Get to grab some grub and relax, and 3) I get to see my animals.:)
I was looking around the net this morning and I found out that my tech/game TV channel G4TV was having their annual game award show. Normally I wouldn’t care too much, but this year they game a wider time range for games to qualify. This is where my problem comes in. The list contains games that should qualify for this year’s award show, but they included 2 games that I REALLY wanted in the list. The bastards made me choose between
Bio-Shock and Metal Gear Solid 4 .... WHY!!!!!!!!. Anyway.. As fantastic as bio-shock was. It is no Metal Gear solid 4.
So. I chose MGS4 and that is that. I however hope that both can be accepted in the end when everybody finishes voting for the nominees. I also hope that MGS gets its due.
I grabbed this article from engadget.
It sounds promising... but I can't help but think that something will go horribly wrong and we will suddenly have exploding bugs on our hands. Anyway, here is the article.
Like the beginning of every great science fiction movie, experts claim that they've discovered a cure for our fuel-dependency woes that only requires an army of genetically modified insects... that eat wheat straw and excrete crude oil. You read that right: scientists have created bugs which are able to snack on woodchips or sugar cane and produce waste in the form of easily malleable oil. Not only are the buggers capable of creating a byproduct which can quickly be refined into fuel for vehicles, but scientists say the process is carbon-negative -- it outputs less carbon than is required to produce it. Director of the project -- dubbed LS9 -- Greg Pal says that barrel prices could run as low as $50, and that the company plans to have a commercial facility producing the crude in 2011. And as for the potential threat of world-destroying attack from the mutant bugs? Says Pal, "We're putting these bacteria in a very isolated container: their entire universe is in that tank. When we're done with them, they're destroyed." Sure buddy -- but we're going to re-watch Them! just in case
I found this at one of my tech site gizmodo.
When I saw this I almost shot water out of my nose. I thought it had to be a joke... but I was wrong. It is %100 right.
Check out the article below.
The UK has just sent up a new communications satellite that's completed their Skynet, the highly-advanced network that's going to give them the ability to allow robotic military units at long range. You know, like in the apocalyptic vision of the future from the Terminator movies. The network's name in those movies? Skynet. Have you learned nothing, England?!
The system allows for communication both in the voice and data variety between basically any unit of the British Armed Forces, including computers talking to computers, probably about how best to murder their makers. For example, a base computer in cheery old London can communicate with the "Reaper," a robotic spy drone in Afghanistan, retrieving data and telling it where to go.
Even worse is the fact that the whole thing is privately owned, with the British Armed Forces only promised a portion of the bandwidth rather than having control over the whole thing.
All I know is that we've got to protect John Conner at all costs, wherever he may be.
I had my metal gear solid 4 release party last night. ( party in my world means 2 or more people show up. )
It went fairly well. We started the night by going out and buying some pizza and renting Rambo. After massive pizza consumption we spun up MGS4. I knew even before the loading screen that this was going to be nothing short of awesome. I don't want to say too much about the story so far just because I know that there are people that will not want to hear it yet, but.... the beginning is definitely one of Kojima's best. I didn't get all that far due to the fact that I had to go to work the next day, but I am hoping that I can play some more today.
I have also been helping *trying to help* my wife play Paper Mario. The game is pretty fun and I will most likely pick it up after I finish Metal Gear. I am hoping that I can get my wife interested in playing or helping me with this game. I really like including people in my gaming hobby :)
